• 2.6 scope discussion: Francisco communicated to Preeti that the team will focus on
  • Tabs sync
  • Write in collections
  • Password manager
• TV bug fixing and requirements
  • Official 2.5 TV Feature Complete date was January 15th, bug 1232276 was not fixed but the team preferred to take bug 1237570 (Set history fetch limit on TV to 500, leave as 50 on phone) which it's considered a safer option and was fixed and uplifted to 2.5 TV branch.
    • In the end, even if bug 1232276 is a nice to have, not having the whole history synced is not a big deal for the user. We don't have autocomplete (bug 1231933) or history search features and we don't expect an user to scroll down a 2k items list looking for a specific URL, so we consider that syncing the latest 500 history records is good enough for now.
  • No news from TV QA team so it seems that all is working fine
• Password manager
  • Francisco will handle the password work already started by Dale and will be part of the Data Sync team
  • Although bug 1211401 was resolved, there is another platform dependency bug 1239701 (Datastore should allow us to define stores accessible just by certified apps) that need to be fixed to continue the password manager feature. Fernando has already a WIP patch for it.
• OTA issues when updating Sony and Flame devices that offers a broken a FxOS sync feature due to some missing patches
  • We need to sync with Naoki and QA team about the OTA build process:
  • Bug 1223781 - New settings added to settings.json should be applied after OTA without requiring to bump settings DB version
  • Bug 1237731 - Sync doesn't work and jumps back to welcome screen
