  • "600ms" patch was chosen (landed).
• bug 1101619 - [Messages][RTL] Location of status (error, delivered, read) icon at Report panel seems wrong
  • Prepared patch (in review).

• bug 1092437 - Messages app should follow text selection pattern
  • Create final patch for review
• bug 1053709 - Make SMS messages content UI RTL-friendly
  • Still no reply yet.
• About load gaia header async: The patch didn't introduce any method to prevent reflow, so the reflow penalty is still there. Although julien claimed it has obvious improvement on buri, but we are still not sure why it effect the performance... We might need to discuss this face to face in ww.
• Some reviews, one about the report icon RTL looks good, another one about the select thread/message for read/unread might have some concern that conflict with our DOM-data decoupling idea. Will reply to Kumar on github
• Some system issue

  • Agreed to land this patch as is and handle "error" and "email" icon adjustments in the separate patch. Will land it today (checkin-needed).
• bug 1101619 - [Messages][RTL] Location of status (error, delivered, read) icon at Report panel seems wrong
  • Got r+, land it today (checkin-needed).
• bug 976091 - [Messages][DSDS] Show the SIM information in the message bubble
  • Prepared v2.0 patch as per request from "bug 1102706 - [FFOS2.0][SMS]SMS can't distinguish the SIM1 and SIM2 when receive SMS from the same number."

Other:

• Yesterday was mainly working on Usage/CostControl bugs, much less on Messages.

  • Still no reply yet.
• bug 1091550 - [Message] Unable to input any character in subject field with Simplified-Chinese IME
  • It was reproducible last month, but it seems fixed in master and even 2.1. I've asked Rudy about any possible fixing in input manager but there seems no related patch in last month. So closed as WORKSFORME first. \0/
• Review panel sliding animation for RTL and read/unread selection patch

  • Landed, filed a follow up to adjust "email" and "error" icons "bug 1105646 - [Messages] Email and Error icons inside recipient pill should be aligned in the same way".
• bug 1101619 - [Messages][RTL] Location of status (error, delivered, read) icon at Report panel seems wrong
  • Landed.
• bug 1102132 - [Messages][RTL] Move the "sliding" transition back to be the same than in LTR conditions
  • Prepared tiny patch (in review).
• bug 976091 - [Messages][DSDS] Show the SIM information in the message bubble
  • Got f+, waiting for partner to test the patch (awaiting partner confirmation).
• bug 1105129 - [FFOS2.0][Woodduck][SMS]MS can't receive the SMS until read the class0 message.
  • Investigated issue, asked partner to apply patch and check on v2.0m branch (awaiting partner feedback).
• bug 1105857 - [Messages] User doesn't receive any notification about incoming message if native modal dialog is shown
  • While investigating bug above, noticed that we may have the same problem in other cases that seems quite serious (user will miss incoming message notifications if he forget to dismiss modal dialog).
  • Asked early feedback from Steve (awaiting feedback).

    (Steve) I haven't checked this patch yet, but it sound the same fix in bug 1105129?

    (Oleg) Yeah, I've just created PR for that patch, also it covers only class-0 message case, but it will be more or less easy to extend it if we agree on approach. I'm going to dupe bug 1105129 as it contains [woodduck] and eventually can become confidential :)
